DIRECTIONS FOR RENEWAL OF THE UKRAINIAN SYSTEM OF FOREIGN LANGUAGE TEACHER EDUCATION ON THE BASIS OF US EXPERIENCE

The need for renewal of Ukraine’s education is objectified by the necessity to reach its compatibility with global educational process. article aims at outlining trajectories national system foreign language teacher based on experience USA. In study methods comparative analysis and extrapolation were utilised. It was concluded that transformation in Ukraine should be carried out along conceptual, legislative organizational-content strands, state, institutional personal levels. At state level: development basis would stipulate establishment work professional public agencies sphere education; implementation standards preparation; monitoring quality preparation certification applicants autonomous organizations; reconsideration specializations qualifications specialists field languages accordance requirements labour market; acquisition («foreign pedagogical linguistics») as a subspecialisation «applied linguistics»; introduction internship. diversification forms types programmes (academically oriented/ applied, interdisciplinary, multilevel, combined); interdisciplinary integrated teaching disciplines foreign/second languages; didactic approaches teachers’ competencies; increasing number credits allocated school practicum rationalization organizational approaches; courses parallel content disciplines. developing student motivation, continuous development.
